Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide overall support with client projects with floor plans, selections, drawings, and design tasks. Duties may include:

  • Assist in planning and interpreting projects through all phases of development including initial client meeting, floor planning, design development, construction and documents, and project management.

  • Coordinate and schedule all client meetings and communicate with clients, vendors, contractors, architects, and other members of the project team as directed by Rebecca

  • Create and maintain documentation for all projects, including selection sheets, AutoCAD plans, and schedules

  • Assist in product  research and inspired sourcing of furnishings, lighting, accessories, fixtures, finishes, material options, and reselections, as instructed by Rebecca

  • Render design ideas in form of boards, drawings, or illustrations, estimates, material requirements and costs, and presents design to Rebecca for approval

  • Assist in coordinating the day-to-day needs of the project through other design staff assigned to the project

  • Create product pricing in product management system 

  • Complete weekly status reports for clients in collaboration with purchasing coordinator as well as provide other updates including meeting notes and site visits

  • Assist with preparation for installations and photoshoots

  • Assist on photo shoot day

  • Assist on install day

  • Collaborate with vendors and contractor to manage punch list as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate solid knowledge of the design industry

  • 2-4 year degree in Interior Design

  • 2-4 years as a design assistant

  • Proficiency in communicating with clients, contractors and vendors

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills with the ability to juggle many projects at once all at various stages of the design process

  • Must be professional, reliable, and punctual, be able to work late as needed, have personal stability

  • Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and problem solving abilities

  • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively under deadlines

  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle

  • Work on-site at home office and in clients’ homes following COVID-19 protocols

  • Knowledge of Mydoma, Google Drive, Asana, AutoCAD, and other design related software
